Italian Sausage And Spinach Quiche

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 35 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 deep dish pie shells
  • 1 lb italian sausage, cooked, drained and crumbled
  • 6 eggs, beaten
  • 1 (16 ounce) carton ricotta cheese
  • 16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 2 (10 ounce) packages frozen chopped spinach, thawed and well drained
  • 1/2 cup yellow onion, chopped
  • 1/4 cup red bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 dash kosher salt
  • 1 dash pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano leaves, rub between fingers to waken flavor
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil leaves, rub between fingers to waken flavor
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • hot sauce, to taste (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • 2 bake pie shells for 5 minutes.
  • 3 meanwhile, in a large mixing bowl thoroughly combine the remaining ingredients.
  • 4 pour the filling into the pie shells.
  • 5 bake for 35 to 45 minutes, or until set.
