Mexican Lamb Chops

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 4 boneless lamb chops
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 1/2 cups salsa
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened cocoa
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 combine cumin, chili powder and garlic powder in a small bowl.
  • 2 combine salsa, cocoa and cinnamon in a bowl and set aside.
  • 3 rub spice mixture into both sides of lamb chops.
  • 4 heat oil over medium heat and brown chops on both sides.
  • 5 pour salsa mixture over lamb chops and bring to a simmer.
  • 6 continue to simmer for about 30 minutes or until chops are tender.
