Mini Sausage Rubens

Ingredients

- 1/2 lb smoked sausage
- 1 loaf miniature party rye rounds
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup thousand island dressing
- 16 ounces sauerkraut
- 10 slices swiss cheese
Recipe
- 1 slice sausage into 1/4 inch pieces.
- 2 drain the sauerkraut.
- 3 cut cheese slices into 1/2-inch x 2-1/2-inch strips.
- 4 melt butter in small skillet.
- 5 brush rye bread with butter on both sides.
- 6 place on baking sheet.
- 7 toast at 400f for 5 minutes. turn.
- 8 remove from oven and build rubens ending with cris- crossed cheese slices on top.
- 9 bake for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
