Liverless Rumaki

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 15
  • 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts (whole in water)
  • 1/2 lb bacon (sliced)
  • 1/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup chili sauce (heinz)
  • 60 wooden toothpicks (they are going into the oven)

Recipe

  • 1 drain and rinse water chestnuts.
  • 2 dry water chestnuts on paper towel.
  • 3 cut water chestnuts in half.
  • 4 cut bacon strips into thirds.
  • 5 wrap water chestnut piece in a cut bacon strip.
  • 6 insert wooden toothpick thru bacon wrapped water chestnut; place in glass baking dish.
  • 7 sauce:.
  • 8 in a dish, mix brown sugar, mayo and chili sauce, together until smooth.
  • 9 pour mixed ingredients over bacon wrapped water chestnuts.
  • 10 bake @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
  • 11 serve hot.
  • 12 extra sauce can be mixed and used per personal choice.
