Farmer's Chops

Total Time: 1 hr 40 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 3 large potatoes
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 6 lamb chops
  • 1 large onion, sliced thin
  • 16 ounces sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon dry mustard
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 350°f.
  • 2 slice potatoes lengthwise into 3 slices each.
  • 3 place in a 2-quart greased casserole dish.
  • 4 sauté garlic in olive oil, then add lamb chops and brown lightly on both sides.
  • 5 place browned lamb chops and garlic on top of potatoes.
  • 6 place thin sliced onions over lamb chops.
  • 7 mix sour cream, dry mustard and salt; pour mixture over onions.
  • 8 bake uncovered for 90 minutes, or until lamb chops are well done.
