No Fry Sweet And Sour

Total Time: 50 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb meat, lamb, chicken
  • 8 ounces pineapple, canned chunked (drained, reserve juice)
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar, packed
  • 1/4 cup vinegar
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons garlic, minced
  • 1 green pepper, diced
  • 1 onion, diced
  • 1 cup carrot, sliced (optional)
  • 2 cups rice, cooked

Recipe

  • 1 dice meat- chicken or lamb.
  • 2 in a large pan, brown meat over a medium heat.
  • 3 add carrots and cook to soften.
  • 4 add garlic, onions and pepper
  • 5 once all vegetables are softened to desire, add pineapple and reduce heat to keep warm.
  • 6 in a sauce pan, add enough water to pineapple juice to equal 1 1/2 cup liquid, add cornstarch and mix.
  • 7 add in sugar, vinegar, and soy sauce. bring to boil to thicken.
  • 8 pour over meat and vegetables.
  • 9 serve over hot rice.
