Norwegian Church Meatballs

Ingredients

- 2 lbs hamburger
- 1/2 lb ground lamb
- 2 eggs
- 2 slices bread
- 1 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon pepper
- 1 pinch ginger
- 1 pinch ground mustard
- 1 pinch nutmeg
- 2 tablespoons dried onion
Recipe
- 1 pour the milk over the bread in a bowl.
- 2 mix together hamburger and lamb.
- 3 add the eggs, salt, pepper, ginger, mustard, nutmeg, dried onion, then the bread and milk mixture. mix all together well and form into balls about the size of a golf ball.
- 4 place the meatballs into a 9x13 pan and bake at 350 degrees until browned and cooked through, thirty to 45 minutes.
- 5 the drippings can be used to make gravy that can be served separately or poured over the meatballs.
