Miss Kitty's Kielbasa & Sauerkraut

Total Time: 1 hr 10 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 lb kielbasa, sliced into 1/4 inch rounds
  • 1 (28 1/2 ounce) jar prepared german sauerkraut
  • 2 -3 cups prepared chicken stock
  • 1 medium onion, diced very fine
  • 2 teaspoons minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • 1 -2 teaspoon hot sauce (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon fennel seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried sage
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 cups peeled and cubed red potatoes
  • 1/4 teaspoon sea salt (or to taste)

Recipe

  • 1 place all ingredients (except potatoes) in a large stockpot and simmer on medium low heat for 1 - 2 hours to combine all flavors.
  • 2 add potatoes the last 30 minutes of cooking. cook until potatoes are tender.
  • 3 or add all ingredients to large crockpot.
  • 4 cook on low setting 4-6 hours.
