Liverless Rumaki

Ingredients

- 1 (8 ounce) can water chestnuts (whole in water)
- 1/2 lb bacon (sliced)
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup chili sauce (heinz)
- 60 wooden toothpicks (they are going into the oven)
Recipe
- 1 drain and rinse water chestnuts.
- 2 dry water chestnuts on paper towel.
- 3 cut water chestnuts in half.
- 4 cut bacon strips into thirds.
- 5 wrap water chestnut piece in a cut bacon strip.
- 6 insert wooden toothpick thru bacon wrapped water chestnut; place in glass baking dish.
- 7 sauce:.
- 8 in a dish, mix brown sugar, mayo and chili sauce, together until smooth.
- 9 pour mixed ingredients over bacon wrapped water chestnuts.
- 10 bake @ 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
- 11 serve hot.
- 12 extra sauce can be mixed and used per personal choice.
