Glazed Lamb Chops

Total Time: 1 hr 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • Servings: 3
  • 6 lamb chops, 3/4 inch thick
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt, to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper, to taste
  • cornstarch
  • vegetable oil
  • 6 lemon slices, thin (or use lemon juice)
  • 1/2 cup ketchup
  • 2 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup water

Recipe

  • 1 rinse chops with cold water and pat dry.
  • 2 sprinkle chops with salt and pepper.
  • 3 dust with cornstarch on each side.
  • 4 brown chops on both sides in a little oil.
  • 5 place lamb chops in single layer in lightly greased casserole dish.
  • 6 place a slice of lemon on each chop, or sprinkle each chop with a little bottled lemon juice.
  • 7 mix ketchup, brown sugar and water together.
  • 8 pour sauce over chops, turning chops to make sure they are covered with sauce.
  • 9 bake at 350 degrees fahrenheit for about 1 hour, or until chops are tender.
  • 10 turn chops after 30 minutes and baste with sauce.
  • 11 check occasionally to prevent burning.
  • 12 add a little water if necessary.
