Mother In Law's Sticky Spare Ribs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 500 g lamb spareribs, cut into bite size pieces
  • 1 cup water
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 teaspoons chopped chili
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 2 tablespoons plum sauce
  • 2 tablespoons peanut oil
  • 2 teaspoons grated ginger
  • 2 star anise (optional)

Recipe

  • 1 place lamb in a large saucepan. add enough water to cover.
  • 2 bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute. drain well.
  • 3 rinse saucepan. add the water and all remaining ingredients to the pan. stir to combine. bring to the boil, stirring.
