Mother In Law's Sticky Spare Ribs

Ingredients

- 500 g lamb spareribs, cut into bite size pieces
- 1 cup water
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
- 2 garlic cloves, crushed
- 2 teaspoons chopped chili
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tablespoons plum sauce
- 2 tablespoons peanut oil
- 2 teaspoons grated ginger
- 2 star anise (optional)
Recipe
- 1 place lamb in a large saucepan. add enough water to cover.
- 2 bring to the boil and simmer for 1 minute. drain well.
- 3 rinse saucepan. add the water and all remaining ingredients to the pan. stir to combine. bring to the boil, stirring.
- 4 reduce heat to low.
- 5 add lamb and cook slowly for one hour, or until tender.
