Green Chile Stew

Ingredients

- 2 lbs lamb, cubed
- 1/4 cup flour
- 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
- 2 onions, chopped
- 3 cups green chili peppers, chopped
- 2 (14 1/2 ounce) cans tomatoes
- 2 cups water
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 teaspoons salt
Recipe
- 1 dredge lamb in flour, shaking off excess.
- 2 in a large soup pot, heat oil and brown lamb. remove lamb and set aside.
- 3 saute onions in same pot and then return lamb to pan, and stir in remainder of ingredients. simmer for 1 hour or until meat is tender and mixture has thickened.
