Meatballs And Sauce

Total Time: 45 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 30 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 3/4 lb ground lamb
  • 1/2 cup salsa (mild, medium or hot)
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1 teaspoon dried basil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup ketchup
  • 1/2 cup salsa

Recipe

  • 1 combine all the ingredients for the meatballs and mix thoroughly.
  • 2 shape into 1-1/2-inch balls.
  • 3 place on a foil lined cookie sheet and bake at 400°f for 12-15 minutes.
  • 4 drain well on paper towel!
  • 5 meanwhile heat sauce ingredients in a large frying pan, stirring to mix; add meatballs and toss to coat; simmer covered for 15 minutes, stirring occasionally.
