Mouses

Total Time: 23 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 8 mins

Ingredients

  • 12 wooden skewers, soaked in water for about 1 hour
  • 400 g ground beef (mince)
  • 400 g ground lamb (mince)
  • 1 onion, very finely chopped
  • 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
  • 1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)
  • 1 teaspoon cumin
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seed (optional)
  • 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (or to taste)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • fresh ground black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ajvar
  • 1 egg

Recipe

  • 1 mix all the ingredients together well.
  • 2 divide into 12 portions and shape around the skewers in a sort of computer mouse shape.
  • 3 chill for about an hour.
  • 4 bbq (grill) for a few minutes on each side or until cooked through.
  • 5 nice served with yogurt and mint on the side or more ajvar and sour cream.
