Ingredients
- 12 wooden skewers, soaked in water for about 1 hour
- 400 g ground beef (mince)
- 400 g ground lamb (mince)
- 1 onion, very finely chopped
- 1 inch fresh ginger, minced
- 1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh coriander (cilantro)
- 1 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon cumin seed (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon chili powder (or to taste)
- 1 teaspoon salt
- fresh ground black pepper
- 1/2 cup ajvar
- 1 egg
Recipe
- 1 mix all the ingredients together well.
- 2 divide into 12 portions and shape around the skewers in a sort of computer mouse shape.
- 3 chill for about an hour.
- 4 bbq (grill) for a few minutes on each side or until cooked through.
- 5 nice served with yogurt and mint on the side or more ajvar and sour cream.
