Norwegian Meat Balls

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • 2 lbs ground beef
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 cup mashed potatoes (can use instant)
  • 1 cup dry breadcrumbs
  • 1 teaspoon brown sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/2 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 pint cream
  • flour
  • oil

Recipe

  • 1 mix all ingredients except cream and form into balls.
  • 2 roll balls in flour and fry in small amout of oil to brown on all sides.
  • 3 put in large casserole and pour cream over.
  • 4 cover and bake at 325 for 40 minutes.
  • 5 serve immediately or pour into crockpot to hold.
  • 6 can substitiute 1 can cream of mushroom soup or golden mushroom soup for half of cream.
