Not Yo Mama’s Sausage Balls

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 12
  • 3 cups bisquick baking mix
  • 1 1/2 lbs italian sausage, uncooked (casings removed)
  • 1 teaspoon garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
  • 4 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup parmesan cheese, grated
  • 1/2 cup half-and-half cream
  • 1 pinch dried rosemary
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/8 teaspoon cayenne pepper or 1/8 teaspoon tabasco sauce
  • seasoning salt

Recipe

  • 1 heat oven to 375 degrees f.
  • 2 line a large baking sheet with foil, then spray lightly with cooking spray.
  • 3 in a large bowl mix the bisquick baking mix with uncooked sausage meat, parsley, garlic shredded cheese, parmesan cheese, half and half pinch dried rosemary and black pepper.
  • 4 using clean hands mix until well combined.
  • 5 season with cayenne and salt.
  • 6 shape into about 1-inch balls and place onto the baking sheet.
  • 7 at this point you can freeze them on a tray then place into ziploc bags to bake later.
  • 8 bake for about 20 minutes or until browned.
  • 9 remove from pan and place on a serving platter with a toothpick inserted.
  • 10 serve warm with dipping sauce.
