Pearl Meat Balls

Total Time: 40 mins Preparation Time: 15 mins Cook Time: 25 mins

Ingredients

  • 3/4 cup sweet rice (glutinous rice)
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sherry wine
  • 2 tablespoons bisquick baking mix or 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 5 water chestnuts, chopped

Recipe

  • 1 soak sweet rice overnight, drain and set aside.
  • 2 mix ground lamb with onion, egg , soy sauce, salt, sherry, bisquick mix and water chestnuts.
  • 3 form balls about 1 1/2" diameter.
  • 4 roll balls in sweet rice until they are well covered.
  • 5 place balls in steamer.
  • 6 steam for 25 minutes.
  • 7 serve hot.
  • 8 note: prep time does not include soaking time for sweet rice.
