Hearty Make-head Spaghetti Sauce

Ingredients

• 1/4 lb hot lamb sausage
• 1 lb extra lean ground beef
• salt and pepper, to taste
• 1 (28 ounce) can crushed tomatoes
• 1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
• 6 -10 garlic cloves, minced
• 1 teaspoon basil
• 1/2 teaspoon oregano
• 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
• 1 1/2 teaspoons mixed italian herbs
• dried bay leaf

Recipe

• 1 in skillet, season sausage and beef with salt and pepper. brown until cooked through. do not drain.
• 2 in crock pot, combine all ingredients, including meat.
• 3 optional: refrigerate overnight.
• 4 cook in crock pot on low setting 6-12 hours. serve over desired pasta.
