Hearty Sausage Potato Pie

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 40 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 8
  • 1 (12 ounce) package frozen hash browns
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 lb sausage links
  • 1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (8 ounce) can whole corn, drained
  • 1 tablespoon instant minced onion
  • 1/4 teaspoon oregano
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

Recipe

  • 1 preheat oven to 450 degree f.
  • 2 thaw potatoes by running water over unopened package.
  • 3 combine potatoes, egg and onion powder.
  • 4 press into well greased 9" pie pan.
  • 5 bake 20 minutes.
  • 6 filling: cook sausage links according to package directions.
  • 7 blot links on paper towels.
  • 8 place links in pie crust.
  • 9 spoon tomato/ corn mixture over links.
  • 10 bake 15 minutes more.
  • 11 top with cheese and return to oven until cheese melts.
  • 12 remove from oven and let set for 10 minutes.
  • 13 cut in wedges and serve.
