Norwegian Curried Lamb

Total Time: 55 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 3 lbs lamb, chunked
  • 1/4 cup flour
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 large onion, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 2 tablespoons curry powder
  • margarine for browning sauce

Recipe

  • 1 coat meat with flour. saute garlic and onion in a small amount of margarine . heat more more margarine in a heavy skillet and brown meat on all sides. transfer to large pot. add sauteed onions and garlic to pot. season with salt, pepper, and curry powder. add 1 cup hot water and bring to a boil.add more water if necessary to cover meat. cover, and simmer until tender, about 30 minutes. check seasonings. it should be quite strong.
  • 2 serve hot.
