Kicked Up Slow Cooker Bbq Ribs

Ingredients

  • Servings: 4
  • 2 1/2-3 lbs lamb ribs (leave on the membrane to hold ribs together)
  • 1 tablespoon dark brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/2 cup dark brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 3/4 cup water
  • 3 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon ketchup

Recipe

  • 1 combine rub ingredients in small bowl.
  • 2 rub on both sides of the ribs.
  • 3 because of the way the ribs are in the slow cooker.
  • 4 place the ribs inside the slow cooker and make sure they go around the outside of the slow cooker, meaty side out and wider edge down.

  • 6 mix all ingredients in a small saucepan and heat over medium high until boiling. pour over ribs, cover and cook on low for 6 hours.

  • 9 let the sauce sit for about 5 minutes and then skim off as much fat as you can.
  • 10 bring the remaining liquid to a boil and reduce over medium heat until it reduces by 50% (10-15 minutes).
  • 11 brush ribs with sauce and place 10 inches below boiler (lower-middle rack) and broil on high for 3 minutes.
  • 12 remove from oven, carefully flip, and brush meaty side liberally with sauce.
  • 13 put under broiler for 9 minutes, removing every 2 or 3 minutes to baste with more sauce.
  • 14 serve any remaining sauce on the side.
