Peking Lamb Bites

Total Time: 6 hrs 20 mins Preparation Time: 20 mins Cook Time: 6 hrs

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lean lamb
  • 1/2 cup fine dry breadcrumb
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 3/4 cup hoisin sauce
  • 3/4 cup red currant jelly
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon grated gingerroot or 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • sesame seeds

Recipe

  • 1 lamb bites: in a bowl combine ground lamb bread crumbs hoisin sauce garlic green onion and egg: mix well.
  • 2 shape into 1 inch balls.
  • 3 place meatballs on prepared baking sheet and bake in preheated oven for 20 minutes or until browned.
  • 4 transfer to slow cooker.
  • 5 peking sauce: in a 4 cup measure or bowl combine hoisin sauce red currant jelly lemon juice garlic and ginger; mix well and pour over meatballs.
  • 6 cover and cook on low for 5 to 6 hours.
