Kofta Meatballs - Lamb

Total Time: 30 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 20 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 2 tablespoons grated garlic
  • 3 fresh green chilies
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon garam masala
  • 2 ounces fresh coriander leaves, chopped
  • 6 mint leaves, chopped
  • 1 medium potato, grated
  • oil (for deep frying)

Recipe

  • 1 place all of the ingredients except for the oil, in a large bowl and mix to a dough.
  • 2 divide the mixture and form into balls the size of golf balls.
  • 3 in a deep pan heat the oil and fry the balls till golden.
  • 4 drain on kitchen paper and serve them hot.
