Ingredients

- 2 lbs beef stew meat (or 1 pound each beef and lamb.)
- 1 1/4 cups raisins
- 1 cup pine nuts or 1 cup chopped pecans
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 cups apple jelly or 1 1/2 cups dark corn syrup, may need more
Recipe
- 1 boil meat until tender, cool, grind fine.
- 2 to 2 cups of the minced meat, add the spices, nuts, brown sugar.
- 3 the filling must be moist.
- 4 if the filling is too dry, add more apple jelly or corn syrup.
- 5 (cooking time includes preparation time).
