Oktoberfest Meat Patties With Mushroom Gravy

Ingredients

  • Servings: 6
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 teaspoon caraway seed
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 cup plain breadcrumbs
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 (12 ounce) jar beef gravy
  • 1/2 lb sliced fresh mushrooms

Recipe

  • 1 in a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground lamb, caraway seed, garlic powder, salt, and pepper; mix well and form into 6 equal-sized patties.
  • 2 place the bread crumbs in a shallow dish and coat the patties evenly.
  • 3 in a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat and cook the patties for 5 to 6 minutes per side, or until the juices run clear and no pink remains.
  • 4 remove to a platter and cover to keep warm.
  • 5 place the gravy and mushrooms in the skillet and cook over medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes, or until the mushrooms begin to soften.
