Meat Pies (natchitoches,la Style)

Total Time: 1 hr Preparation Time: 1 hr

Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon shortening
  • 1 lb ground meat
  • 1 lb ground lamb
  • 1 bunch green onion, chopped
  • 1 bulb of garlic, minced
  • 1 bell pepper, chopped
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • salt, to taste
  • black pepper, to taste
  • red pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 4 cups plain flour
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 cup shortening, t
  • 1 cup milk

Recipe

  • 1 meat pie filling:.
  • 2 melt shortening in heavy pot.
