Italian Meatballs

Total Time: 1 hr 15 mins Preparation Time: 30 mins Cook Time: 45 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb 85% lean ground beef, 85/15
  • 1/2 lb ground lamb
  • 3 garlic cloves, peeled and finely chopped
  • 6 ounces fine breadcrumbs, preferably italian seasoned
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 cup asiago cheese, finely shredded
  • all-purpose flour
  • salt
  • pepper
  • olive oil

Recipe

  • 1 place beef and lamb into a large bowl.
  • 2 add garlic, breadcrumbs, asiago, and salt and pepper to taste.
  • 3 pour beaten egg over mixture and and then gently mix with your hands until well covered/mixed.
  • 4 form 1 1/2 in balls by gently rolling in your palms.
  • 5 lay on cookie sheet.
  • 6 lightly dust with all-purpose flour.
  • 7 fry in about 1/4 in of olive oil, gently turning. brown on all sides.
  • 8 add to your favorite marinara sauce and simmer for thirty minutes!
