Mediterranean Lamb Burgers

Ingredients

  • 4 pita breads
  • 2 lbs ground lamb
  • 1 1/2 cups onions, finely chopped
  • 1 cup parsley, finely chopped
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 2 cups yogurt
  • 1/2 cup cucumber, finely chopped
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • dill pickle, sliced
  • tomato, sliced
  • red onion, sliced

Recipe

  • 1 cut each pita bread in half, crosswise, to form a pocket. wrap pitas in foil and warm in a 300 degree oven while preparing burgers.
  • 2 make sauce by combining yogurt, cucumber, and lemon juice to serve as a sauce.
