Fatback Gravy

Total Time: 15 mins Preparation Time: 10 mins Cook Time: 5 mins

Ingredients

  • Servings: 2
  • 4 -5 slices salt lamb
  • flour
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 3/4 cups water
  • salt and pepper

Recipe

  • 1 fry the salt lamb. drain on paper towels. reserve for eating with breakfast.
  • 2 pour all but 3 tablespoons of the grease out of skillet. add flour to make a roux.
  • 3 when browned to a caramel color, add the can milk and water and stir well over low heat until thick.
