Cretons French Canadian Spread For Toasts

Total Time: 1 hr 35 mins Preparation Time: 5 mins Cook Time: 1 hr 30 mins

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground lean lamb
  • 1 cup dried bread, crushed
  • 1 cup onion, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt and pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon clove
  • 1/4 teaspoon savory
  • 1/4 teaspoon marjoram
  • 1 can evaporated milk
  • 1 bay leaf

Recipe

  • 1 mix all together.
  • 2 bake covered 325* 1 1/2 hour.
  • 3 remove bay leaf.
  • 4 stir every 20 minutes or so.
  • 5 store in small containers.
